Terms of use

Cohesion is a volunteer portal run by Project Liberal. By signing in or using the site you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Cohesion.

• You must be 18 or older.
• You sign in with your own Google or Discord account. Keep one account per person, and do not share it.
• Use a display name that does not impersonate anyone. Each display name is unique, so choose one no one else has taken.
• New accounts are reviewed before they can take part, and we may decline any account.

Taking part in Cohesion is voluntary and unpaid. It does not make you an employee, contractor or agent of Project Liberal, and you may not speak for Project Liberal unless it has asked you to. Hours and contributions recorded on the site are a record of your volunteering, not a promise of payment or of any other benefit. Certifications reflect the work reviewed on the site and are issued at our discretion.

While using Cohesion, do not:

• Use Cohesion to support or oppose any candidate for public office, or for any other campaign activity. Cohesion is run by a 501(c)(3) organization, which the law bars from political campaigning.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, or post hateful content.
• Post anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to share.
• Share other people’s personal information without their permission.
• Upload malware, or try to get into accounts, data or parts of the site you are not allowed to reach.
• Scrape the site, or use it to send spam.
• Submit work you did not do, or misrepresent the hours you spent.

What you post on Cohesion (submissions, files, comments, notes and links) stays yours. You give Project Liberal permission to store, display and copy it as needed to run the site, to show it to the members, reviewers and admins described in the privacy policy, to keep backups, and to report on the program in totals that do not name you. You are responsible for what you post.

Site admins may review anything posted on the site, and may remove content, change an account’s role, or ban an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. You may stop using Cohesion at any time, and may ask us to delete your account by writing to oren@projectliberal.org.

Signing in uses Google or Discord, and some features run inside Discord. Those services have their own terms, which apply to your use of them. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

Cohesion is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running and your work safe, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that content will never be lost.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Project Liberal and its volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Cohesion, and our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell members on the site. Continuing to use Cohesion after a change means you accept the new terms.
